The aromatic sensuality of Grenache
Originally from Spain (Aragon province), introduced in France during the Middle Ages,
the Grenache is a grape variety which needs warmth to attain ripeness.
It produces round, silky wines that are sensual, alcohol-rich and deeply aromatic.
It develops spices (cacao, coffee, tobacco, caramel), dry fruits (fresh walnuts, figs, dried grapes) aromas.
It is at the heart of great wines which age well.
The taste of Garrigue
The Garrigue is a kind of forest on limestone soils, in Southern France around the Mediterranean Basin,
near the seacoast, where the moderated Mediterranean climate provides annual summer drought.
In “Les Corbières”, Vines and Garrigue have grown together for thousands of years.
Rich in aromatic oils, flowers, and leaf litter that leach into the soils,
the Garrigue gives the grapes similar aromatic nuances.
